IBA Participates in GSE UK Conference

From November 7 to 8, IBA UK participated in the Guide Share Europe (GSE) UK conference, a key annual event in the mainframe business calendar. The conference took place at Whittlebury Hall in Whittlebury, Northamptonshire.

IBA UK was invited to participate in the event by its partner, L3C. The company specialises in leading edge technologies such as Blockchain, as well as hosting and cloud services for the Linux on z Systems and z/OS environments.

Joining the L3C stand, IBA presented its business process management (BPM), middleware, application and mainframe software development services, complementing the L3C's cloud and hosting infrastructure. Bringing together the companies' expertise, L3C and IBA Group are able to solve customers' cloud/hosting infrastructure needs and expand their experience with Middleware, Application, software development and BPM services, which forms a key part of cost reduction and process simplification initiatives.

This year's event featured more than 140 sessions, covering various topics on mainframe technology. The speakers discussed the role of mainframe software and hardware for the worldwide economy and the issues of outdated processes and tools. Barclays Bank and IBM UK discussed the use of hackathons over the last few years and explained why it is becoming an increasingly efficient tool for the rapid development of mainframe applications.

In addition, the 2017 conference set a new record, with 478 delegates visiting the event in the two days.
